Overview

Day 1 - Tbilisi

You will be greeted upon arrival at the Tbilisi airport by ASA Travel DMC Georgia’s assistant, who will transfer you to your hotel in the city center. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Tbilisi
Breakfast in the hotel. F\\\\\\\\D sightseeing City tour of Tbilisi and Mtskheta with guide.
Wonderful trip through the windy streets of Old Tbilisi; we will visit historical part of Tbilisi, this district is known as Old Tbilisi; historical Sulfur Bathes, that can be accepted as symbol of the city; main citadel of the city – Narikala fortress, from here we will see unforgettable panoramic view over the city. Visit of beautiful churches, synagogue, and mosque located very close to each other. We will walk on the pedestrian street Sharden, beloved place for local people as lots of cafes, restaurants, clubs and galleries are located here; we will find an old Georgian bread bakery; pass through the main avenue of Tbilisi – Rustavely Avenue and Main Square – Freedom Square. We will see oriental part of Tbilisi and European part, than we will have a look on the districts, which was built during USSR period.

Drive to Mtskheta. Mtskheta is an old capital of the kingdom of Iberia (from IV cc BC to VI cc AD), this is how ancient Georgian tombs were called. Mtskheta is known to be the religious capital of Georgia, here is located one of most important cathedral – Svetitskhoveli. Svetitskoveli can truly be accepted as the pearl of Georgian architect. The second destination during the trip is Jvari monastery, the church stands up on the hill, overlooking the town. The architect of the church has been retained from the VI cc and represents one of the most interesting monuments in whole Georgia.
After the excursion, travelers will have possibility to buy traditional Georgian souvenirs from local people (Duration of the excursion is 6 hours).
Dinner in the restaurant with traditional Georgian environment, cuisine.

Day 2 - Tbilisi – David-Gareji - Signaghi – Tbilisi (Jeep Tour)

Brekfast in the hotel.
Full day self drive jeep tour to the eastern part of Georgia, Kakheti region.
Drive to David-Gareji monastery. The monastery is located in the southern part of Georgia, near the border with Azerbaigan, in the Semi-desert area with picturesque landscapes. We will meet several salty lakes enroute.
The monastery was founded in the VI cc by one of the thirteen Assyrian monks David. The monastery includes the main church of Saint David, David’s Laura and monks’ caves, that are located up on the hill, valuable artistic fresco paintings of XVI cc are preserved on the walls of the caves. Trekking to caves. Ttrekking difficulty is medium, distance 3 km, trekking time is 2 hrs
Drive to village Signaghi. Excursion in Signaghi. One of the most beautiful towns in Georgia, Signaghi, surrounded by 13 km fortress wall is located in the east of Georgia, Kakheti Region. Town is situated on a small mountain, 790 m above sea level; it overlooks the Alazani Valley and faces the picturesque views of the Caucasus Range.
Visit of local Marani (wine-cellar), we will see the Georgian traditional way of winemaking. There is no analogy for the traditional Georgian wine technology in the world.
Wine degustation in Marani: several sorts of red and white wines will be offered, along with Georgian Traditional strong spirit Chacha.
Lunch in traditional environment in open air with folk dances, playing on local music instruments and singing, hosts will be making Georgian strong spirit Chacha, barbeque, Georgian bred, it is possible to participate in the process.
Drive to Tbilisi, accommodation in the hotel.

Day 3 - Tbilisi – Kazbegi

Breakfast in the hotel. F\\\\\\\\D trip to the village Stepantsminda, high in Caucasus Mountains with guide.
The village Stepantsminda is located in the heart of Great Caucasus range, at the foot of Kazbegi peak. The legendary Georgian Military Highway, one of the world’s most beautiful roads, winds its way up to the village, through steep wooded valleys, ravines and finally over the 2300 meter Cross Pass and down again. Building of the Georgian Military Highway started in the beginning of the XIX cc, as the main road across the Caucasus Range.
Marathon to Gergeti Trinity church, Group will be divided into smaller teams. Each team will have to compete to reach the church first. The winner team will receive special gift. Trekking difficulty is medium, distance 5 km, trekking time is 3 hrs
Lunch on the veranda of hotel “The Rooms” (http://www.roomshotel.com/kazbegi) with beautiful view over Kazbegi peak.
Possibility to ride horses.
Dinner in the hotel restaurant. Overnight in Kazbegi

Day 4 – Kazbegi – Tbiilisi

Breakfast in the hotel.
Drive to the start point. Rafting on Aragvi River. Rafting difficulty is 2-3, distance 13 km, duration 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Lunch
Enroute visit of the fortress of medieval ages – Ananuri, located near the picturesque Jinvali reservoir. Drive to Tbilisi
Visit of concert “Nabadi” performance is about Georgian history, culture and tradition, story is told with dances and motion, no words.
Farewell dinner.
Late transfer to the Airport
